Death Penalty
Characters who are on the receiving end of enough physical force to die will find themselves miraculously-or nightmareishly- still alive.
That knife that just cut through your belly? It didn't kill you. Are they taking your intestines and decorating your room with them? Still alive.
Characters that would be otherwise incapacitated are still conscious and still capable of feeling everything that is done to them. In these instances they will have to be taken to one of the many hospitals in the main city for a "rejuvenation" procedure where they will quite literally patch the character together in a long, very painful procedure.
It would be best if characters avoided such confrontations from the first. Those hospital bills get so high.
Due to the lengthy procedure, characters are incapable of participating for at least one week and possibly longer depending on their injuries. Others are allowed to visit them in the hospital once they are conscious and mostly whole again.
