How to Apply

[perspecularismods]

Per Specularis isn't like your average, run of the mill game. The path one person may take may not be the same road into the Specularis for another.

That said, we do things a little differently regarding applications: they aren't necessary at all. We offer several solutions in how one may gain entry.

Please note that in order to gain acceptance, you must choose at least two of these. It doesn't matter which two that you choose as long as you demonstrate a grasp of proper grammar, knowledge of your canon, and personality of your character.

• Thread with a NPC minimum 20 comments
  The reason we ask for at least 20 is so that we can assess you, your character, how you deal with inner thoughts and outer voice. This has a high rate of rejection if we feel there isn't enough justification, but it's also the easiest. The thread will be marked down as your introduction thread and added to the game's overall continuity.




• Applications
  Yeah, while we prefer not doing applications we still offer the option if you're old school or already have an application going. This has a higher rate of acceptance if you adequately present in the points mentioned above. We do have a standard form we would appreciate you using for clarity's sake, as another game's form may be too confusing or have extraneous information we don't need.


If your character is a transplant, please consider using the "Previous Game Acceptance" method instead of this one. If the previous game no longer exists and/or the entries are no longer available, use this method.

Name: moniker here please

Age: Self explanatory, though we require at least 18 years of age

Contact: your journal and whatever else you decide
note: we will need at least one method of contacting you outside of dw: aim email et ctra.

Character Series: What series your character is from.

Character Name: Your characters name. If they go by any aliases please list them, but make sure it's clear which one is the real name so we can make the tag. If the name is spoilery, such as L's real name from Death Note, state which one you'd rather for organization.

Aliases: (delete if unnecessary)

Character Age: Nice to have but not really important if your character doesn't have a canon age- make a best guess

Canon: AU or OU? Note that if it is an AU we require a summary of the AU and a short rundown of how it differs from OU. If it's a transplant from another game, that counts as AU.

AU Summary/Game Development: (Delete if unnecessary)

Canon Point: From what time your character is.

Background: Toss down a background link here: character specific over canon specific please, or write several paragraphs.

Personality: What's your character like? Introduce them to us. This is the most important part of your application. Please write several good sized paragraphs.

Abilities: Things your character can do or what they specialize in. If you're Superman, you could write down "faster than a speeding bullet, can leap tall buildings in a single bound" and "can write an pretty awesome news article."
If your character does not have any superpowers, this is where you can note down the three abilities you would like your character to gain- this is subject to mod aproval as certain combinations are banned.

Sample Entry: How your character does in action. Write an entry about your character- note we'd prefer it NOT being an introductory type entry. Links are acceptable and encouraged of previous play/memes as long as it describes your characters voice adequately.

• Previous Game Acceptance
  If you've been playing in another game and it's either ended or you left or something like that, it can count as an automatic acceptance provided you show proof (an acceptance note, an intro post, et ctra) and a summary of how your character developed and changed. Please note: certain games start out with the destruction of the character's entire universe. In this case, the character will be unable to canon update. Rule of thumb: if the original game doesn't allow canon updates, your character can't go back and get one.
  
  This is the method used if you wish to bring a character in as a transplant (it's possible doing it the application if you'd prefer that way but this way is easier for us).

• Use the Dressing Room
  
  If your character has been using the dressing room to tag with characters in the game, and have at least three logs that they participated in, this can count toward being accepted. Remember to link to these logs when you submit the other option. perspec_dressing
